It was so horrifying to see how emaciated her son had become when footage was released after his escape. There is no valid reason that it should have come to this, especially when so many eyes were on the matter. I can only hope that this story changes the way law enforcement intervenes and investigates the kind of concerns that had been brought up for years with this family.
