I've had several friends get married in the last few years, and somehow the conversation has come up that they didn't consummate their marriage until the next day/a few days later. We've always laughed it off, but it's clear that there's this societal expectation that still lingers on - despite it being almost completely irrelevant at this point. It's really a strange, kind of funny thing to think about. Anyways, super interesting read! Thanks for sharing.
