Reality is harsh.
Cultural views are not shaped by an insignificant number of people. So if you understand there is a cultural view of women's hobbies/interests, then you should understand that enough people feel this way to make an impact.
A lot of those people are men. Some of those people are women, like Pearl Davis - who I cited in this article. There was never an implication that "all" or "most" men feel this way. Just that there is enough.
You don't need to like my article or find it funny. But the comments you're making suggest you either a) didn't read the story or b) have poor reading comprehension.
